These days, it is easy to get bogged down with all the stuff we have – We have boxes and boxes of holiday decorations, gardening equipment, skiing gear, and even different sizes of tins for baking. It is so easy to accumulate so much stuff without even realizing it. Whether you are a single person living alone, or a part of a large family, you one day look around you and realize you can barely move about without stubbing your toe or knocking something over. At some point, something has got to give, and you pencil in some time in your day to sort out all the stuff you don’t need and can donate or throw out. This can make people feel a whole lot better almost instantly. However, you still are left with the stuff you do want to keep, but can’t figure out where to put it. Luckier people get to put them away in extra rooms or their garage, or even their shed. However, when you are working with a small space like a studio apartment, or even just your bedroom, you need to push yourself to get creative about your storage space. There are options like utilizing your closet space, cabinets in your bathroom, and even getting special shelves to utilize the wall space. But one thing that is fairly simple, yet ingenious is looking into storage beds.

A storage bed has the best of both worlds – You get your bed and space to spread out and dedicate to your sleep and relaxation time, but also a dresser that will allow you to put anything you want from your clothes to your shoes to your outdoor accessories. When you utilize the space underneath the bed in a way that is organized and easy to get to, you won’t use it as a black hole of things you don’t typically reach for, which is consistently what happens for people that use the space under their bed as storage. Even if you get storage boxes that are flat and have wheels, it will still be a pain for you to have to bend down and grapple with a heavy box full of stuff.

It’s about time to stay away from those dust bunnies and look into storage beds that will allow you to save your living space and give you a clear head. The less messy and more organized your living space, the happier you will be.

When you are in college, you just know you are embarking on one of the most pivatol times in your life – You immerse yourself in your field, build friendships that will last you for the rest of your life, and gain a sense of independence that you would never have living at home with your parents. College is one of the best and most challenging times in any young person’s life. Besides from school, your living situation is also where a lot of young people build their self-confidence and learn to be, to put it bluntly, an adult. Learning to cook, clean, and take care of your things yourself is something that a lot of young people don’t figure out until they are out of their parent’s house and on their own. When looking at a college kid’s dorm room or bedroom, it is safe to say that there is only enough room for one twin bed. But instead of getting a twin bed that will have lots and lots of clutter underneath, it would probably be best if that twin bed was a twin platform bed.

Most college doors have twin platform beds anyways – The beds are raised and they have drawers underneath allowing you to store everything from your clothes, to your textbooks, to your eating utensils, and they are usually fairly deep. This is a great big win for those that have lots of clothes, or need to save room and cannot add another dresser or shelves to their room. Furthermore, most of these rooms have roommates, and need to allow for both people to live comfortably. No one wants to live with someone that has lots of furniture that it makes it hard for the other person to study, sleep, or get dressed in comfortably and in peace.

By making sure you have a platform twin bed, you are making a conscious effort to save space, live efficiently, and be mindful of that roommate. It is a young person’s first step to finding the habits and mental tools to work with the space they have and maximize on it. Even though they are shrinking down their living footprint, they are expanding their potential and capacity for growth.

When you are a young person starting off on your own and gaining independence, you have a hard time finding a place or a room with enough space to house all your things – Your furniture items starts to get smaller, and the amount of clothes you move around gets thinner and thinner. But this is also a part of growing up and standing on your own two feet – You shed the things that don’t matter, no longer have sentimental value, and are simply a pain to lug around. But with reducing the amount of things you move around, you also gain a new perspective and creativity on how you can store your things in the most efficient way possible. For example, you figure out a way to utilize your walls and height by getting tall shelves or efficiently mount shelves so you can add your books, bags, toiletries, and other things on the walls, or door hooks so you can stop using your door knobs as holders. You also find ways to use the cabinets in your bathroom or kitchen to house more than just dishes and cups. But one of the best places and most used spaces to store extra things is under the bed. There is only one problem – For people with allergies, shoving things under the bed can cause a terrible dust problem. Ifyou are sneezing, your nose is running, and you’re coughing up a storm, you might not want to reach under your bed to get your things, making it a black hole of other stuff, and therefore not an efficient place to use as storage. This is where a prepac storage bed comes in handy.

Not only would you be able to use the drawers that comes out of the sides of the bed frame underneath in a way that is not only organized, but also more appealing to the eye, it helps with preventing those terrible dust bunnies from occurring. Think about it – if the space under your bed is being occupied by those big drawers, there is no space for the dust to collect and create dust bunnies. Furthermore, the drawers make it easier for you to get to and reach your things. Crouching down and reaching out your arm to feel around for your stuff is not a fun experience.

But getting a prepac storage bed, you are not only saving your space, but you are saving your sanity. You are no longer sneezing up a storm as you disrupt the layer of dust that blanketed your things under your bed, and you are not having to guess and pull out half your life when you try to look for something underneath there.

Let’s be honest – It is hard to be a minimalist, especially as an American. It is in our culture to purchase or acquire goods for any and all situations, events, and especially holidays. If you live someplace where the weather is constantly changing or the seasons are drastically different, you might need not just entire wardrobes, but also equipment and tools that help with everything from dealing with icy walk ways to patio umbrellas to shield you from those harsh sunny days. The same goes for clothes – No one wears a down jacket all year around, and the same goes for a thin cotton tank top. Furthermore, clothes aren’t always just for function – they are the best way for us to express ourselves. However, it is harder and harder to keep up with the amount of clothes you have even if you are still going through sorting them, and donating every season. These days, people don’t just keep their clothes in their rooms – People also keep their shoes, accessories, and toiletries. Some people, especially these days, have their work stations set up in their bedrooms. These days, people don’t just use their rooms to sleep and get changed for the day. That is why it is so important to utilize the space in your room and set it up to be as efficient as possible. One of the best ways to save space is by getting a platform storage bed.

Lots of people shove things under their beds – From shoes, to out of season clothes, to whatever falls on the floor, you can bet that almost anyone you know has something under their bed. It is both a great place to use as storage, but easily becomes something that becomes a black hole for things when you want to quickly clean up your room.

Having a platform storage bed gives you a more stable and intentional way of putting away your clothes, shoes, or winter accessories. Anything you need to use a dresser, table, or shelves for can be easy stored in this type of bed, but will be more space conscious. You basically get two pieces of furniture in one. Take back your room and your sanity with a storage bed.
