It is easy to think that just because you live in a small space that you can’t decorate it or make it sophisticated and welcoming. You can’t shop for any type of furniture you come across or add lots of different pieces without quickly realizing you are running out of room. Furthermore, if there is more than one person living in a space, there can be a quick clashing of different styles and needs. It is easy to feel like you are living in a closet than an apartment or a small house. However, there are certainly easy ways to be creative and learn to maximize the space you currently have. There are fun ways to create storage in your space without having stacks and stacks of plastic bins all over the place. For example, if you utilize your wall space you can find tasteful shelves in almost any style. But one of the best places to create storage is by using platform beds with storage.

The idea is simple, yet brilliant – By putting your bed on a platform, you create more height and therefore room for you to have drawers inside the platform so you can store anything from shoes, clothes, and bags. It is the best way to have you stay organized, but in a stylist way that also allows you to be efficient. This is a lot different than just getting short and wide storage bins that allow you to slide them under a regular bed. First of all, a regular bed is not that high. Second, the bins are going to need a lot of space that allows you to pull them out from under the bed. But most importantly to remember, is that you will have to suffer the physical burden of bending down and pulling out the large bins. With a platform bed, not only do you not have to bend down, but you don’t need nearly as much clearance as bins that go under your bed. Furthermore, whatever is out of sight is out of mind. While stashing things under your bed is immediately convenient, you will have less access to your things.

Platform beds with storage is a great first start to an overwhelming experience of fixing up and working out your personal space to be as efficient and clutter free as possible.
